What is an Energy Efficiency Certificate or EPC?
It is the rating system to determine the energy efficiency of a building in the European Union.
Why do you need it?
According to a Spanish law, that came into force on 1st June 2013, any property in Spain and the Canary Islands that is to be sold or rented must have an Energy Performance Certificate or EPC.
How do we obtain it?
We can put you in touch with a Chartered Building Surveyor MRICS / Spanish technical architect Philip Wright, who will inspect the property and provide you with a valid EPC in both digital and written format.
Philip can also provide official valuations, assist with retrospective planning applications and applications for both major and minor works when required.
How long will the EPC last?
The certificate will be valid for 10 years from the date of issue.
